Christian Evolutionists: Can you please tell me when...?

God put a soul in man? I mean, I'm sure that you agree that monkeys don't have souls. Or any other animal for that point. But men have souls. So if we evolved from soulless animals, at what point did God say, "Hey, that's a person now. He needs a soul!"?
