Help!!! Puberty.... Tampons.... Was it wrong to do this? How should I prevent this? Desperate need of help!!?

first off you wont get tss if you change your tampon regularly do not leave it in more than 8 hours. and heavy periods and long periods are normal your just starting out your period so it will be crazy for a little bit. as for the heaviness though i know someone who has very heavy periods and she wears a tampon and a heavy duty pad if its super heavy. i wish you the best of luck and look up some period stuff online or talk to friends. sometimes they have the best advice.
