Ramadan, is there any truth to what this guy is saying?

Salam. Yes I read in the hadith that Muhammad pbuh said muslimpeople during his era were the best.. After he ped away,Muhammad pbuh predicted that muslim people would be broken into 73 sects while jews into 71 sects and christians into 72 sects.,Allah says in the Qur'an that muslim people should comply to Allah swt and also to the last rasool Muhammad pbuh. But the quality of muslim people in the next generation would not be as the best during his era It means that the next generation will deviate or divert from the genuine best example of Muhammad pbuh.
