What is up with gangsters getting snakebites?

I live in Trenton NJ, and most of the thuugs there wear skinny jeans, mohawks and of course snakebite piercings. I thought snakebites were an emo/scene look. lol I guess gangsters are taking over that too. Does anyone notice this anywhere???
