I made home made pizza but.......?

You need to add about 1/2 tsp of sugar to warm (not hot) water and dissolve the yeast in that mixture until it is foamy (about 10 minutes). Likely the yeast was not activated properly which resulted in the yeasty taste. Rather than go to all that trouble you can buy pizza dough already made in the refrigerated section of the bakery department in any large department store. So much easier and tastes just as good and since you are adding your own sauce and ingredients you are still making a homemade pizza (without the bother and time it takes to make the dough).
