WHY do I feel like a bad friend!?

It isn't rude to just ask her to stock up. Just tell her that you would love to help her out but it is really hard to go out and get her soup when you have so many things to do. If she already has it tell her you would be more than happy to make it for her and bring it too her but it is just too hard to go out and buy it.
